@ the movies

Last evening, when my hunny took me out on a date to see Ironman 2 I had a thought.

Have you ever realized how alike snowflakes and popcorn are?

If you look in a bag of popcorn, each piece is unique. In a handful, no two are alike.

If you look at a mitten full of snow, each crystal flake is unique.

Popcorn starts as a collection of identical kernels. Each one alike. Yet, when you add heat they individually evolve into something different.

Snowflakes start as a small drop of moisture, the same as every other drop of moisture. Yet, when you add cold they individually evolve into something different.

Fascinating.
