Chew toys

Remy's top 3 things to put in her mouth:

#3: Drowned worms
If you plan on walking her after or during the rain, be sure to stay away from pavement if at all possible.
When the poor little wormies come up to the surface to try and breathe, they probably would've been better off drowning. I don't think they stand a chance against the Remy.

It would be a blessing for her to at least put them out of their misery. Instead, she chooses to humiliate each worm she finds. How?
She doesn't kill it right away. Instead, she picks the worm up by it's head (or tail, I can never tell) and proceeds to carry it dangling from her mouth as she jauntily bops along her walk.
That is until she sees the next one. Then she'll chew up, swallow victim one, and pick up wormy victim two.
It's a cycle. Oh so much fun!

#2: Dandelions
It's not as simple as it sounds. I'm pretty sure Remy considers this the most amazingly awesome game ever.
Here are the rules, in case any of you are interested in playing with her.
(This activity is best played off leash in a field area)

Spot a yellow dandelion head far away. Run towards it as fast as your four legs can carry you without doing any sumersaults (remember: this is dandelion tag not gymnastics).
The minute you reach it, bite the head off, chew it up and swallow. Fiber!
Move on to the next yellow flower.

Variation: If no dandelions are available, they can be substituted by the little white flowers that are also often found in our local grasses.

#1: Old Chewing Gum
Now, unlike the dandelion tag this is more of a treasure hunt. Remy is a bird dog, which means she has a nose. What is that skill best used for? Locating the oldest, hardest piece of gum she can find. Trust me, the little girl has perfected this to an olympic sport.

Our Remy can find old gum anywhere. I mean anywhere. It wouldn't be so bad if she were to just eat it, but where would be the fun in that? I guess it's a result of her higher than average intelligence level, but she understands that gum isn't for eating. It's for chewing - so that's what she does.

She will chew it, and chew it and chew it and chew it. Remy has a talent for taking rock-hard old gum and gnawing it into soft mush. She will continue to make use of it until she realizes you'd like to have it, at which point Remy will turnover someone's germ-filled nasty squish gum to you. That is, if you can manage to pull it out from between all her baby teeth.

Little girl Remy is a giggle, what can I say!
